SOME HELLEBORES IN MY GARDENS – LATE WINTER

by susan on April 15, 2011

Walking through my gardens this March I found that many of my newer Hellebores had come through the winter quite well. This photo of the Japanese Lantern showcases my favourite Hellebore. It is not one of my newer ones, but is an absolute favourite as it was given to me by a friend in memory of a dear pet.

Each year it comes back more and more beautiful…

I like to have the plants in one area of my garden co-ordinate colour-wise with others near-by. This Hellebore is in the same blue-pink family as the one by the Lantern. Later in the season, I have planted perennials that are similarly coloured. The following photos will show some of these plants.
